Job summary

Scoot Education is partnering with schools in Pennsylvania to place substitute teachers and related student-support staff on short- and long-term assignments. The role emphasizes student-first instruction, safety, and collaboration with teachers and school teams.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) and have or are pursuing teaching credentials. Background checks are required, and Scoot offers training, weekly pay, and 401(k) enrollment after eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (associate degree or college credits acceptable).
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions per teacher plans.
• Communicate clearly with school staff.
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher.

Daily Pay Range:

Pay will vary forday-to-day assignments and is typicallymore for long-term placements.Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.
