This position may require short-notice call-ins and does not have a guaranteed or regular schedule. The Substitute Teacher supports classroom routines, activities, and learning experiences while maintaining a safe, nurturing environment in accordance with state licensing and CLASS requirements. Additional duties may include assisting with front desk and kitchen operations as needed**Responsibilities:*** Provide active supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being.* Assist classroom teachers with daily routines, learning activities, transitions, meals, toileting, and classroom organization.* Support administrative duties as needed, including greeting families, answering phones, and assisting with basic center operations.* Assist with kitchen duties as needed, including meal and snack service, cleaning, and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.* Perform other duties deemed necessary by the Director**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information.* Ability to assist the teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for young children.* Demonstrated computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, e-mail, and database management.* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Ability to work with a diverse student population.* Ability to work cooperatively with teachers and other center staff* Ability to assist with basic administrative duties and kitchen duties as needed.* Ability to quickly adapt to different classrooms, routines, and age groups* Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions when regular staff are absent.## Qualifications**Minimum Requirements:*** High school diploma or GED required.**Preferred Requirements:*** Two years of experience working with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years in a childcare setting or a CDA**OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, UPON REVIEW OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.****Applicant Deadline:** Interviews to begin immediately.
