A local educational foundation in California is seeking a Substitute Teacher to instruct children in activities that promote their growth. The ideal candidate will have 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education and relevant certifications. Responsibilities include planning learning activities and ensuring child safety. Compensation ranges from $23 to $25 per hour for a maximum of 25 hours per week.

Description

The Substitute Teacher (as needed) instructs children in activities designed to promote their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. This position assists in planning individual and group activities to stimulate learning according to the ages of the children.

Requirements

Education/Certifications: 12 semester units or equivalent quarter units in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. CTC Associate Teacher, Teacher, Master Teacher, or Site Supervisor Permit. Experience working with children and families.

Other Requirements:

Must successfully pass a physical examination and have a current T.B. clearance, pertussis, measles and influenza vaccinations.

Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certificate.

Must complete & pass a criminal background clearance through Community Care Licensing (DOJ/FBI/CAI).

Must possess a CA driver’s license, and evidence of automobile insurance. (If applicable.)

Max 25 hours a week.

COMPENSATION: $23 TO $25 PER HOUR
