Job summary

TRF Children & Family Services is seeking a Substitute Teacher (as needed) to instruct children in activities promoting social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. The role includes planning activities tailored to children’s ages to stimulate learning.

The position requires at least 6 semester units in Early Childhood Education or related fields, a CTC permit, and prior experience with children and families. Background clearance and health requirements must be met.

Qualifications

• 6 semester units or equivalent quarter units in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• CTC Associate Teacher, Teacher, Master Teacher, or Site Supervisor Permit.
• Experience working with children and families.

Education and Certifications

Other Requirements

• Must successfully pass a physical examination and have a current T.B. clearance, pertussis, measles and influenza vaccinations.
• Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certificate.
• Must complete & pass a criminal background clearance through Community Care Licensing (DOJ/FBI/CAI).
• Must possess a CA driver’s license, and evidence of automobile insurance (if applicable).
• Maximum 25 hours per week.

Compensation

$23 to $25 per hour.
