LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher in West Virginia to deliver LifeWise classes using provided curricula. The role requires modeling a Christian faith, church involvement, and strong communication with teachers, volunteers, and students.

The position is non-exempt, hourly, and focuses on maintaining a safe classroom, implementing lesson plans, and representing LifeWise within the community. Training is provided, with emphasis on consistent classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records for each class.
• Keep a clean, attractive, and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.
