Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking an enthusiastic substitute teacher to support LifeWise classes in Ohio. This non-exempt, part-time role requires active church involvement and a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs. You will train, implement curriculum, and maintain safe, organized classrooms while serving as an ambassador in the community.

Responsibilities include teaching as needed, taking attendance, and coordinating with volunteers and the teacher to ensure smooth class sessions.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy's Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church aligned with LifeWise Academy's beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training (LifeWise).
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive, and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.
