Are you passionate about early childhood education? Do you enjoy creating a safe, inspiring environment for young children to grow and explore? The J’s Early Childhood Program is looking for enthusiastic substitute educators who can seamlessly step into our classrooms and make a difference.

About the Role: As a Substitute Educator, you’ll play a vital role in our team, with responsibilities that include:

• Delivering Curriculum: Bring lessons to life, inspiring curiosity and a love for learning
• Creating Positive Connections: Communicate effectively and professionally with children, parents, and coworkers, ensuring each child’s unique journey is supported
• Supporting Developmental Growth: Maintain anecdotal records to track progress and provide personalized insights
  
  

Why The J’s Early Childhood Program? Our program is accredited by the State of Missouri and licensed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. We follow the Reggio Emilia approach and Conscious Discipline framework to foster character development and value-driven learning. With a focus on providing care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, our nurturing environment supports children as they build confidence and a strong sense of self.

Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and we seek applicants who can work flexibly within this schedule.

What You Bring to Our Team:

• Minimum Qualifications: 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Prior experience working with children; experience in an educational setting preferred
• Preferred Skills: Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia Approach is a plus!
• Compliance: Registered with the MO Family Care Registry, along with annual TB testing and Hepatitis A vaccination, as required by state regulations
  
  

Compensation: $15.00 - $18.50/hr, based on experience.
