Job summary

The Lincoln Parish School District is seeking a Substitute School Custodian to maintain clean, safe facilities under the supervision of the Principal and District Supervisor. This role supports daily operations and helps ensure a sanitary, well‑lit learning environment for students, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include cleaning assigned areas, setting up furniture for meetings and events, inspecting for safety, assisting with grounds work, and reporting repairs to keep facilities in good

Qualifications

• Sufficient ability to follow written instructions and schedules.
• Sufficient ability to follow directions and work well with others.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties in classrooms, offices, gyms, and facilities as directed.
• Arrange furnishings and equipment for meetings and events.
• Attend district in-service trainings for new procedures.
• Clean facilities to maintain sanitation, safety, and attractiveness.
• Assist in seasonal grounds work (lawn).
• Scan in/out daily using biometric reader for attendance.
• Deliver items to distribute materials to proper locations.
• Respond to safety/operational concerns and take appropriate action.
• Inspect facilities to ensure safety and identify necessary repairs.
• Lift up to 30 pounds unassisted as needed for tasks.
• Work at heights up to 12 feet using ladders/scaffolding for maintenance tasks.
• Prepare facilities for daily operations (open gates, disarm systems, lights, etc.).
• Secure facilities to minimize damage and liability.
