Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, Inc. is looking for a Substitute Program Aide at the Adult Day Services Paso Robles Center in Paso Robles, CA.

The role supports the Site Supervisor and staff in providing exceptional care and engaging activities for senior clients, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The position involves planning activities, greeting clients, assisting with mobility, meal prep, personal care, and maintaining safety and records.

Formación

• Level I requires high school diploma or GED.
• Level II requires 1-2 years in social, recreational, or health care program or 2 years of college in a related field.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and implement activities that promote recreation, exercise, socialization, nutrition, and education.
• Greet and orient clients, ensuring accurate records of their schedules and needs.
• Assist clients with mobility aids and transfers, ensuring their safety.
• Prepare and serve meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness per ServSafe protocols.
• Provide personal care, including medication reminders, toileting, and hygiene.
• Communicate changes in client status to the Site Supervisor and Program Manager.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility, adhering to safety protocols.
• Foster positive relationships with staff, clients, volunteers, and family caregivers.
• Open and close the premises as needed.
• Follow safety procedures regarding exposure to bodily fluids or blood-borne pathogens.

Conocimientos

CAPSLO's Adult Day Center is looking for a Substitute Program Aide! As a Program Aid you will support our Site Supervisor and staff in providing exceptional care and engaging activities for our senior clients. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for those in our care.

Requirements:

• For Level I: Has a High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent.
• For Level II: Has 1-2 years of experience in a social, recreational, or health care program, or 2 years of college education in a related field.
• Depending on the department assigned, a valid California driver’s license, a current DMV driving record, and proof of insurance may be required to fulfill job-related travel. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable laws.
