SCOE Substitute Para Educator Application Copy of SCOE Para Educator Proficiency Test certificate. Applicants who meet the minimum requirements but did not submit a copy of the SCOE Para Educator Proficiency Test certificate or an equivalent will receive an email invitation to attend the testing. OR one of the following: SCOE ESSA/NCLB test certificate, CBEST or transcripts showing date AA Degree or higher was awarded. Must be at least 18 years of age. ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following documents are NOT required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment:

• Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance
• Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance
• Physical/drug screen clearance
• Original signed Social Security Card with current name on it (for payroll purposes)
• Picture I.D.

Dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate specialized apparatus and standard office and classroom equipment. Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to assist students. Sitting to read a variety of materials and monitor student activities. Seeing to read a variety of materials and monitor student activities. Hearing and speaking to exchange information. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Some positions may require bilingual skills in a designated second language. Some positions in this class may be required to possess sign language skills.
