Job summary

Kerrville ISD is seeking a school nurse to implement district health services on campus, provide direct health care to students, and promote health and safety education for students.

The role requires licensure as an RN or LVN with the Texas Board of Nursing, and the nurse will administer medications, manage health plans, and serve as a liaison between home and school. This is a on-site district position supporting student well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
• Valid registered nurse license (RN) or (LVN) from the Texas Board of Nursing (Required upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments as ordered.
• Provides care for student and staff illness and accidents.
• Administers care based on individual health care plans and individual emergency care plans.
• Serves as liaison between the home and the school regarding student health concerns.
• Documents all encounters in the Electronic Health Record.
• Follows communicable disease control procedures and informs administration and/or parents regarding school exclusion and readmission.

SALARY

• RN - $135 daily
• LVN - $120 daily
