Job summary

Job description

The Big Walnut Local School District is currently seeking qualified candidates for a part‑time substitute Mechanic position.

Description

The qualified candidate must show enthusiasm for work, and assume responsibility with minimal direct supervision. The part‑time substitute mechanic will be called on an as‑needed basis, and will assist the head mechanic and transportation staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic and repair skills of both diesel and gasoline bus/truck engines, electrical systems and body components
• The ability to obtain the required CDL license to operate a school bus in the state of Ohio
• Demonstrated aptitude of competence for assigned responsibilities
• ASE Certification preferred
• Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
