Job summary

Edina Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Instructional Assistant for the Early Learning and Family Center. The position is non-exempt and temporary, with hours from 8:30-2:30 on days when students are present.

The role supports teachers with general classroom activities and student engagement. Qualified candidates hold an associate degree or 60 credits, have experience with students and diverse populations, and possess strong communication skills to contribute to a caring, inclusive

Substitute Instructional Assistant

Location: Early Learning and Family Center | Status: Non-Exempt, Temporary | Schedule: 8:30-2:30, Hours Varies | Days: Student contact days only

Position Summary

With the focus to support and advance the Edina Public Schools' mission, vision, and core values, An Instructional Assistant assists teachers in conducting general classroom activities.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Associate's Degree or at least two years of post-secondary education (a minimum of 60 semester credits)
• Experience working with students
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Strong communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: The hourly wage for this position is $21.84 per hour.

• This is a temporary/casual position. Eligible employees will participate in the state's largest pension program, the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA).
• Leave benefits will be applied in accordance with Minnesota law.
