Job summary

Edina Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Instructional Assistant to support teachers and classroom activities at the Early Learning and Family Center. The role is non-exempt, temporary, with a schedule of 8:30-2:30 and days that align with student contact days.

Substitute Instructional Assistant

Location: Early Learning and Family Center | Status: Non-Exempt, Temporary | Schedule: 8:30-2:30, Hours Varies | Days: Student contact days only

Position Summary:

With the focus to support and advance the Edina Public Schools' mission, vision, and core values, An Instructional Assistant assists teachers in conducting general classroom activities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or at least two years of post-secondary education (a minimum of 60 semester credits)


• Experience working withstudents


• Experience working with diverse student populations

Salary Range: The hourly wage for this position is $21.84 per hour.

• This is a temporary/casual position. Eligible employees will participate in the state’s largest pension program, the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA).
