Job summary

Westside Community Schools in Omaha, Nebraska seeks a Substitute Elementary Kitchen Manager for the Nutrition Services department. This 10-month position runs roughly 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and supports multiple school kitchens as needed.

You will supervise kitchen staff, maintain food quality and safety standards, and complete required daily/weekly reports, collaborating with school staff and students.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate well with others.
• Ability to take direction from Supervisory Staff.
• Knowledge and ability of cleaning kitchen and preparation of food processing paperwork.
• Experience supervising a kitchen team is preferred.

Responsibilities

DEPARTMENT: Nutrition Services

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and direct kitchens on an as needed basis in any Westside Community Schools location. Position will report to the Nutrition Services Operations Manager and the Director of Nutrition Services. Qualifications and Duties include:

Physical Requirements: (ADA Compliance Regulations)

• Be able to lift boxes or containers weighing 40 lbs.
• Be able to stand on feet to perform job responsibilities
