TRENTON SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Substitute Cafeteria Worker on an as-needed basis to support food service operations in the school cafeteria. The role involves assisting with food preparation, serving meals, cleaning kitchen areas, and performing related duties under the supervision of the Cafeteria Manager.

The ideal candidate can follow written and oral instructions, perform basic arithmetic, and adapt to changing situations.

Formación

• Must have the capacity to grasp and adjust to new and changing situations.
• Transportation to and from work.
• This job may require lifting objects that exceed 40 lbs., with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Perform efficiently and to the best of his or her ability the duties assigned in relation to preparation of food, serving of food, cleaning all areas of the kitchen, and other assigned duties in the time allotted.
• Report to work at designated time, clock in and out utilizing the time clock system, and remains on the job until dismissed by the manager.
• Cook and prepare foods by using USDA quantity recipes.
• Ability and willingness to follow instructions, either written or oral.
• Operate and maintain large food service kitchen equipment.
• Maintain pleasant working relations with the manager and fellow employees by demonstrating consideration for others, and other desirable traits.
• Follow all policies of the School Board and instructions of the manager relating to safety measures, sanitation practices, personnel standards, work techniques, and methods of performing duties.
• Perform duties involved in the safe preparation and handling of food, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities, serving of food, cashiering, and recordkeeping that are assigned by the cafeteria manager.
• Perform other school food duties as assigned by the cafeteria manager.
• Cafeteria substitute workers cover for cafeteria workers who are unable to work. Assignments range from 3 ½ hours to 6 ½ hours per day.
