Roane County Board of Education is seeking a classroom aide to support teachers with instruction and student supervision. The role includes providing individual attention, setting up instructional materials, and assisting with bus duty and library tasks.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED and an Aide certificate issued by the WV Department of Education; background checks and trainings are part of the onboarding process.
High school diploma or equivalent or be continually enrolled in a GED program working towards successful completion
Must meet all required qualifications and competency pursuant to W. Va. Code
Must hold either an Aide or higher certificate issued by the West Virginia Department of Education
Criminal background check may be required as appropriate
Complete all required county and WVDE trainings
Will include all lifting, health, personal care and transportation responsibilities
The ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities as contained in the Job Description, with or without reasonable accommodations
