West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a TRANSPORTATION AIDE for Bus #5 in the evening, reporting to the Director of Transportation. The role supports students during loading and unloading and on the bus.
Qualifications include a high school diploma, state Aide exam or prior Aide classification, fluent English, ability to lift 50 lbs, and required training in first aid/CPR and bus safety.

Qualifications
High school diploma;
Currently hold or previously held classification of Aide, or passage of state competency exam for Aide
ability to use oral and written English fluently;
ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions;
ability to perform the physical activity required with specialized program;
relevant first aid/CPR and bus training; relevant bus and specialized health procedures training as needed for assigned students.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist students in getting on and off the bus and assist students with fastening of seat belts or restraining devices.
Supervise individual students or small groups of children while on the bus.
Assist with bus lift equipment.
Assist with record keeping and clean up tasks.
Perform physical activities with students as required with applicable IEP, 504 plan, health care plan, or SAT plan.
Maintain positive work habits.
Perform duties efficiently and productively.
Participate in-service and/or other related training programs to maintain or upgrade skills.
Performance Standards
Report to work on a regular basis at the time(s) scheduled for the performance of his/her duties.
Observes all rules and regulations established for his/her particular workstation.
Accepts responsibility in a cooperative manner.
Performs assigned duties efficiently with/without close supervision.
Prepares assigned reports and records promptly and accurately.
Follows directions and demonstrates good judgment.
Demonstrates evidence of good personal hygiene.
Completes required professional development programs.
Demonstrates knowledge of duties in particular work areas.
Follows County Employee Code of Conduct.
Evaluations: Evaluations will be performed by the Director of Transportation.
