Kennebec Valley Chamber-CMMRC is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to cover 5-10 hours per week, with potential to increase hours and become permanent. The role emphasizes a down-to-earth, collaborative team and a family-friendly environment.

Seeking a part-time SUBSTITUTE teacher (5-10 hours per week, 40 hours on occasion) to begin ASAP. If a good fit, there may be room to expand hours and become a permanent part of our staff. Job Description - Substitute Teachers will provide excellent care for all children. Assist or independently implement daily activities and daily routines with teacher and/or director input. Maintain all certifications as required. Ensure compliance with all Maine Department of Health and Human Services rules and regulations.

Required Qualifications: At least 18 years of age: On their way to a High school diploma or equivalent. Two years experience working with school-age children in a home or center setting; Already has an Adult and Child CPR/First Aid Training Certificate which includes an in-person assessment. They must have basic knowledge of safety and care practices for children birth to five and experience working with school-age children in a home or center setting.
