Job summary

Child Care Resources Inc. seeks a reliable on-call substitute teacher for a per diem schedule in Bennington, VT. You will cover duties of the teacher or assistant when others are out, follow lesson plans, help with snacks and dressing, and supervise children aged one to five.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, be dependable, able to work well with others, and complete mandated reporter training, Vermont orientation, and CPR/First Aid certification as required.

Job description

Are you interested in working on a per diem basis? If so, then this might be the perfect job for you! We need people who are willing to fill in at a moment's notice when our staff are out sick or at trainings. You can work as few as a couple hours a week or as many as 40 hours, depending on the needs of that week and your availability.

What You'll Do

Cover the duties of the teacher or assistant teacher that is out for the day. Duties may included carrying out lesson plans, preparing snacks, helping with toileting or diapers, helping children get dressed and undressed for outdoor play, engaging in play with children ages one to five, following the lead of the other teacher(s) in the room, and some light cleaning.

Requirements

At least a high school graduate. Some early childhood college coursework preferred. Must enjoy working with children, be a responsible and dependable employee, and work well with others. Must be willing to take an online mandated reporter training, an online Vermont orientation training, and become CPR /first aid certified.

Nice To Have

Some college course work in early childhood education preferred. Some experience working with children preferred.
