Job summary

Acquire4Hire in Bennington, VT is seeking an energetic, dependable full-time Early Childhood Assistant to support two-year-olds and assist teachers with daily activities.

You will help with feeding, diapering, nap time, lesson support, observations, and parent communication in a lively classroom; requires HS diploma and willingness to complete required trainings, with benefits described.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some coursework in early childhood education preferred.
• Willing to complete online mandated reporter training.
• Willing to complete online Vermont orientation training.
• Willing to complete CPR/first aid training.
• If no early childhood coursework, complete 45 hours Fundamentals for Early Childhood Education within the first year.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Carrying out basic care duties of feeding, changing diapers, and facilitating naptime, as well as interacting with young children in a playful manner. Helping the teacher to carry out lesson plans, maintain observations, work with special educators, interact with parents, and maintain a clean classroom. This job is very active and a lot of fun.

Requirements

At least a high school graduate. Some coursework in early childhood education preferred. Must be willing to complete online mandated reporter training, online Vermont orientation training, and online CPR/first aid training. If the applicant does not already have early childhood college coursework he/she must be willing to complete the 45 hours Fundamentals for Early Childhood Education course within the first year of hire.
