Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Substation Training Instructor (Utility Industry) in Providence, RI. This senior role focuses on delivering engaging technical instruction and partnering with operations teams to ensure employees have the knowledge and practical skills needed to perform their work safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience in electric utility substation operations or maintenance.
• Strong understanding of electrical equipment and safe work practices.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience leading training sessions or coaching field personnel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on technical training for utility employees.
• Create and enhance technical learning materials, exercises, and resources.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures, work practices, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams to reflect current standards.
• Support introduction of new equipment, technologies, and processes through training initiatives.
• Evaluate learner performance through assessments (written, practical, field-based).
• Maintain training records and employee qualifications for compliance.
• Serve as a technical resource for employees and leadership, promoting safety and learning.
• Participate in emergency restoration activities when needed.
