Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Substation Trainer (Technical Training Instructor) to deliver high-quality training on Electric Substation Operations and Maintenance. This role blends hands-on instruction with classroom training for groups of 10–20, primarily from our Providence, RI office with occasional on-site travel to training sites.

The ideal candidate has substation experience, a technical degree or equivalent, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Substation experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training programs with hands-on and classroom methods for field crews.
• Design, develop, and update procedures, checklists and work methods.
• Coordinate reviews with Safety, Engineering Standards and other groups.
• Support field operations with equipment mock-ups and simulations for training.
• Administer learning records, testing, and assessments.
• Occasional after-hours training during emergencies or storms.
