Job summary

Entergy Arkansas, LLC in Blytheville, AR seeks a Substation Technician for hands-on work in transmission and distribution. Under close supervision, you’ll support construction, maintenance, and testing of substations, with duties ranging from installing hardware to operating equipment.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be willing to obtain a Class A CDL, and relocate within 40 miles of the service area headquarters. EEI CAST testing and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Under close supervision, assist in high and low voltage work and support others in construction and maintenance.
• Must be willing to obtain a Class A CDL within the specified time period.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the erection of substation structures, including foundations.
• Work on energized conductors up to 600 volts.
• Install hardware, grounds, fittings, and conductors during construction.
• Perform transmission and distribution switching.
