Job summary

Black & Veatch invites you to join as a Structural Engineer (Substation) Summer Intern. You will contribute to diverse projects addressing critical infrastructure challenges and gain hands-on experience across disciplines.

Selected candidates will be located in or relocate to Raleigh, NC; Ann Arbor, MI; or Orlando, FL, and work full-time in-office to support engineering teams and project delivery.

Qualifications

• No experience required; current enrollment in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Preference for at least 1 design course.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements if selected.

Responsibilities

• Support development of design specifications and contract drawings.
• Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs.
• Prepare basic calculations.
• Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling.
• Organize and file project materials and references.
