Job summary

Dashiell Corporation, an operating unit of Quanta Services (trading as PWR), seeks a Structural Engineer for high voltage substation and transmission projects. The role is based in our Chicago, IL office at 720 E Butterfield Rd, Lombard, IL 60148, reporting to the Supervising Structural Engineer.

Responsibilities include creating/ modifying structural drawings, applying design software, and ensuring adherence to standards while collaborating with project teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain licensure within one year of hire.
• 3+ years of direct experience in concrete and structural steel engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify civil/structural design documents for substations and transmission projects.
• Develop steel and foundation drawings.
• Apply structural design software for concrete/steel components.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, ASCE, IBC, AISC, and ACI standards.
• Coordinate with project team and clients to meet schedules.
