Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Substation Shift Technician trainee to join its electric transmission and distribution operations. This 18‑month program combines on‑the‑job training and classroom instruction, with eight‑week rotations at multiple locations to build hands‑on skills in high‑voltage testing, mechanical maintenance and substation operation.

• Perform basic planned switching and apply/remove grounds under supervision.
• Assist in live phasing acceptance testing and diagnostics.
• Inspect substation equipment and assist in maintenance and repairs.
• Work overtime during emergencies and respond to alarm conditions.
