Job summary

CDE Lightband in Clarksville, TN is seeking a Substation Maintenance Electrician to maintain and repair substations and high-voltage equipment. You will test, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability of electric infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on experience with transformers, circuit breakers, relays, and associated documentation, with a safety-first mindset and the ability to work on a team during normal business hours.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or Equivalent.
• Experience: Three years of related work experience.
• Certifications & Licenses: Class D Driver's License; CPR/AED or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Tests, builds, repairs, and maintains substations and substation equipment, including repairing and replacing parts and systems.
• Installs and tests transmission, distribution, telecommunications, and data equipment, including electronic repair.
• Monitors compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and safety.
• Prepares a variety of operational records and logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned, of a similar nature, or to provide assistance as needed.
