Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Substation Reliability & Condition Assessment Specialist to perform system-level assessments of customer installations across North America, using standardized tools to evaluate asset condition and risk.

Qualifications

• Work authorization to permit employment in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field, or equivalent field experience (10+ years).
• Experience with HV substation equipment, service engineering, asset management, reliability, lifecycle services.
• Experience conducting technical assessments, inspections, audits, site reviews, or reliability studies in customer-facing environments.
• Comfortable using digital assessment tools, structured data collection methods, risk-based reporting, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute system-level assessments of customer installations across North America using standardized assessment tools.
• Conduct on-site inspections and structured data collection across customer assets and systems.
• Prepare technical reports, validate conclusions, and identify failure modes, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop recommendations that connect corrective actions with lifecycle service opportunities.
• Present findings and recommended actions to customer stakeholders.
