Job summary

Required qualifications include a 4-year substation apprentice or Relay Testing Apprentice program with certification and 1–3 years in a substation setting.

Qualifications

• Electrical theory knowledge is required.
• Experience with SCADA and protective relays in substations preferred.
• Certification or training in substation apprenticeships or relays is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair substation equipment.
• Work on protective relaying, SCADA, power transformers and metal-clad switchgear.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors; perform reporting, scheduling, inspection, testing and commissioning.
