Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to design substation drawing packages including one-line and three-line drawings, DC schematics, and wiring diagrams. You will draft using AutoCAD and MicroStation, analyze protection schemes, and update legacy diagrams.

Role involves collaboration with engineers, travel to customer sites about 10%, and leading small projects. A bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field and P.E. track are preferred.

Qualifications

• Interpret customer specifications and design to meet requirements.
• Understand electrical circuits and related components.
• Check protection and control wiring diagrams against schematics.
• Create control panel and field wiring diagrams from schematics.
• Update existing substation schematic and wiring diagrams.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers on technical issues.
• Perform project management activities and lead small projects.
• Identify and champion process improvements.
• Travel to customer sites approximately 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Create substation drawings (one-line, three-line) using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Develop DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Produce component layouts, electrical plans, and detailed assembly drawings.
• Generate protection and control schematic diagrams from a 1-Line diagram.
