Job summary

CDM Smith (Industrial Division) is seeking a Substation Project Manager (Substation PM) to lead multi-discipline engineering teams delivering substation programs for IOUs and data center clients across the United States. Responsibilities include scope, schedule, budget management, and client liaison to achieve safe, high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, 10 years of experience, and PMP/CCM/DBIA certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 10 years of related experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification within 12 months of hire or promotion.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage small to large complex substation projects from concept to construction.
• Lead multi-discipline substation engineering teams (physical, P&C, civil/structural).
• Direct proposal development by defining scope, schedule, staffing and cost.
• Ensure quality, risk, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
• Serve as main client contact and liaison during execution.
