Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Substation Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams delivering substation programs for utility and data center clients across the United States. The role requires strong design and protection & control knowledge for up to 345 kV and experience with portfolio programs and fast-track delivery.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of related experience, and certifications such as PMP, CCM, or DBIA within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; PE preferred.
• 10 years of related experience.
• PMP/CCM/DBIA certifications within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi‑discipline substation engineering projects from concept to construction support.
• Direct scope, schedule, staffing, and cost while ensuring quality and safety.
• Coordinate with client and internal teams to deliver on commitments.
• Mentor project teams and ensure adherence to standards.
