Job summary

CDM Smith in the Industrial Division seeks a Substation Project Manager to lead multi‑discipline engineering teams across utility and data center projects. You will manage scope, schedule, budget and risk from front‑end planning through commissioning, with a focus on safety and constructability.

Travel up to 10% is expected; PE preferred; PMP/CCM/DBIA certificates beneficial; Bachelor's degree required and extensive experience in substation programs for IOUs or mission‑critical clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 10 years of related experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi‑discipline substation engineering teams (physical, P&C, civil/structural) and coordinate deliverables to meet quality, schedule, and budget.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk across projects.
• Direct proposal development and staffing in collaboration with Sales Leader and marketing.
• Serve as main client contact during project execution to deliver a legendary client experience.
