Job summary

SolveNow Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead substation design projects ranging from 12-kV to 500-kV, including greenfield and brownfield sites, switching and collector stations.

The PM will oversee all phases of project execution and coordinate with clients, regulators, and subcontractors to ensure high-quality and timely delivery. The role reports to the Department Manager and emphasizes financial performance, schedule control, and risk management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in utility substation projects with 3+ years in a project management role.
• PE license preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee substation project management from concept through completion (planning, engineering, procurement, construction, closeout).
• Prepare proposals, assist client presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and scope against goals and contract requirements.
• Manage internal project financials, resource allocation, contracts, and risk mitigation.
• Serve as primary client contact for coordination, execution, scope management and reporting.
• Establish and maintain project policies, procedures, and control systems for consistent execution.
• Lead project teams to deliver quality outcomes meeting client expectations and QA/QC.
• Provide regular progress reports addressing cost, schedule, procurement, safety, environmental, and technical issues.
