Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Akron, OH is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the Transmission & Distribution practice to lead electrical substation projects. You will manage scope, schedule, budget and risk, while building strong client relationships and coordinating with engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience, including 3+ years in Transmission & Distribution project management.
• Professional registration and/or professional certification preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applicable to broad assignments.
• Experience with producing engineering design and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, assist in presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control costs.
• Own internal project financials, staffing, and risk management.
• Serve as primary client contact for coordination, planning, and schedule attainment.
• Manage all aspects of project communication and QA/QC adherence.
