Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) invites applications for a Project Engineer in Cranford, NJ. The role covers conceptual, preliminary and final design of substations, including procurement, construction and energization support.

You will coordinate with multiple discipline groups and mentor staff on complex power projects. Minimum requirements include a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of project/design experience; a PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 6+ years' project and design engineering experience is required.
• PE license is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new, upgraded and expanded substations.
• Material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization.
• Coordinate with discipline groups and client/stakeholders; mentor design staff.
• Oversee and direct design personnel on project teams.
