Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of substations, including material procurement, construction support and energization.

The role requires coordinating across electrical, civil and transmission disciplines to deliver client-ready studies, drawings and specifications. A BS or MS in Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of design experience are expected; a PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering; 6+ years of project and design engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and planning.
• Willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design of substations, including procurement, construction and energization support.
• Develop and deliver electrical, civil and communication design studies, drawings, exhibits and specifications.
• Coordinate with PM, mentor design staff, ensure project QA, and oversee design personnel.
