Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) seeks a substation senior engineer in Chesapeake, VA. You will lead the conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of substations, including material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization.

The role requires a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of project and design experience; a PE license is preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to meet fast-paced project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new, upgraded or expanded substations.
• Coordinate material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization.
• Provide autonomous QA/QC in primary substation design; mentor junior engineers.
