Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) invites applications for a Substation Senior Engineer in Fairfield, OH. The role covers conceptual to final detailed design of substations, procurement, construction/commissioning support through energization, and development of design studies, drawings, and specifications.

Ideal candidates hold a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of project and design experience. A PE license is preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and planning skills; ability to work in a team environment.
• Commitment to quality and accuracy; willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of substations.
• Material procurement and construction/commissioning support through energization.
• Development and delivery of physical, electrical, design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits and specifications.
• Autonomous QA/QC responsibility in primary substation design areas.
• Mentoring for less experienced engineers; coordination with SME groups.
