Job summary

WSP in Lake Oswego, OR seeks a Substation Project Engineer to support the Power & Energy Substation Team. The role involves design, analysis, and field coordination for substations and related systems with a hybrid work setup.

Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5–7 years of relevant experience; PE is preferred. Will collaborate across disciplines on multi-site projects and ensure QA/QC adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5–7 years of post-education electrical design experience on large capital projects.
• Experience with permitting, design, and construction of substations and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical calculations for loads, sizing, grounding, short-circuit studies, and relay coordination.
• Prepare plans, specs, and cost estimates; update layout plans with coordination across owners, disciplines and clients.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to explain findings and recommendations.
