The Substation Physical Design group at Southern Company Services in Forest Park, GA seeks a Substation Production Supervisor to lead design activities, coordinate resources, and ensure safety and quality in substations projects. Based in Forest Park, this role interfaces with opco clients and internal teams to deliver detailed design packages and support construction and emergency restoration efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering (or equivalent experience), PE license

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering preferred or other degree with applicable experience.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Experience with design, maintenance, or operation of substations in the power utility environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead the activities of Physical Design group to meet project schedules and quality.
• Serve as primary interface for opco clients and internal teams.
• Select and develop top talent for the Physical Design team.
• Assign resources to projects and ensure schedule commitments are met.
• Support development of design standards for Southern Company systems.
• Provide leadership and guidance to employees in daily activities.
• Foster a strong team environment within Substation Engineering and with partners.
