Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Lead Engineer - Physical for its Power Delivery team in Washington. The role focuses on engineering and design of 12kV–500kV substations, applying NESC, NEC, IEEE and ASCE standards, and delivering complete design packages.

You will supervise engineers, drive design quality, perform analyses, and coordinate with clients and internal teams to meet scope and schedule. PE certification is required and leadership experience is essential.

Qualificações

• ABET-accredited B.E. in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 6+ years of substation physical design experience.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Solid knowledge of applicable codes (NESC/NEC/IEEE/ASCE).

Responsabilidades

• Lead substation physical design across multiple projects with technical ownership.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and provide PE stamping of deliverables.
• Guide engineers, designers and drafters to ensure quality and consistency.
• Develop equipment layouts, grounding, and cable routing designs.
• Coordinate with disciplines to ensure integrated designs.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessment, and client communications.
