Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Lead Engineer - Physical to design and manage electric substation projects from 12kV to 500kV. You will apply NESC, NEC, and IEEE standards, perform analyses, and prepare plans, specs, and procurement documents.

The role requires PE licensure and 6+ years of substation experience, with responsibility for technical leadership, design reviews, and client interactions. Remote work may be limited to project needs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in substation physical design engineering.
• Strong leadership and project coordination skills.
• Proficiency with design tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and standards (NESC, NEC, IEEE, ASCE).

Aufgaben

• Lead and oversee execution of substation physical design across multiple projects.
• Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) and stamp deliverables.
• Guide engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure design quality.
• Provide technical leadership for grounding, equipment layouts, and cable routing.
• Coordinate across disciplines for integrated design packages.
• Lead client communications and technical strategy.
