Leidos Engineering in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Substation P&C Designer to develop substation design drawing packages for projects from 12kV to 500kV. You will create single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs while applying industry standards for safety and quality.

The role involves reviewing vendor drawings, collaborating with other disciplines, and performing basic engineering calculations.

Formación

• Requires high school diploma; associate's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of substation protection and controls / electrical design experience using CAD software on electric utility projects.
• Proficient with Windows-based software (Word, Excel) used for deliverables.

Responsabilidades

• Develop single line diagrams, electrical schematics, elementaries, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and complete battery loading and voltage drop studies.
• Develop a complete bill of materials for all required electrical equipment and materials.
• Review and comment on equipment drawings received from vendors and manufacturers.
• Work with other disciplines to complete assigned work.
• Assist the project team with developing processes and procedures to increase team efficiency.
• Perform basic engineering calculations to support engineering design.
• Apply relevant client, national, and state standards to each assignment as needed.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
