Leidos Engineering is seeking a Substation Designer to create design drawing packages for substations from 12kV to 500kV. You will develop electrical layouts, foundations, conduit layouts, grounding plans, and control building drawings, while preparing schematics and wiring designs.

You will also review vendor drawings, collaborate with civil engineers, and help improve project processes. Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools and accuracy are essential for delivering high-quality work.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree in related field preferred
• 1+ years of direct substation design experience using CAD
• Proficient with 2D/3D design software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD, and Inventor 3D

• Develop electrical layout/plan drawings of substation equipment and structures
• Prepare electrical schematics and wiring designs
• Create complete BOM for electrical equipment and materials
• Review vendor drawings and comment on them
• Coordinate with Civil Engineers and other disciplines as needed
• Assist team with improving design processes and procedures
• Perform basic engineering calculations to support design
• Apply applicable standards to assignments
