Leidos Engineering is seeking a Substation Designer to create design drawing packages for substations ranging from 12kV to 500kV, ensuring quality and safety in every deliverable.

You will join an established Substation Design Office that serves utilities nationwide, collaborating with civil engineers and other disciplines while performing basic engineering calculations and applying applicable standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field; experience may substitute for degree.
• 1+ years of substation physical and electrical design experience.
• Proficient with 2D/3D CAD tools (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Inventor).

Responsabilités

• Develop electrical layout/plan of substation equipment and structures.
• Prepare electrical schematics and wiring design drawings.
• Develop bill of materials for electrical equipment.
• Review vendor drawings and assist with cross-discipline collaboration.
• Apply client, national, and state standards to assignments.
