Job summary

EVS, Inc. is seeking a Substation Operations Manager in Minnetonka, MN, offering hybrid work and a path to lead the Substation Engineering department. You will oversee planning, design, execution, and team development across PV, BESS, and related disciplines.

The role requires deep substation knowledge, proven leadership, and a drive for operational excellence. Travel and client interaction are expected as part of delivering high‑quality projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proven leadership in a substation engineering department.
• Deep knowledge of substation engineering principles, design, and quality control.
• Strong project management and financial discipline.
• PE licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and execution of substation engineering projects.
• Collaborate with PV and BESS, Civil, Geotechnical, Survey, Structural, and PMO leaders.
• Develop scopes of work, pricing proposals, and support budgeting.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and client satisfaction.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent.
• Provide coaching, performance reviews, and career development.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Represent EVS in client meetings and industry events.
