Job summary

Substation Helper 1 assists journeymen with planning, lay-out, installation, testing and repair of substation work in accordance with plans, specs, codes and industry standards. You will use hand and power tools, work with high and low voltage systems, test circuit continuity and assist with grounding, while adhering to safety rules and site procedures.

Qualifications

• NCCER Core Curriculum or equivalent craft training.
• Knowledge of substation construction and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install conduits, cable and grounding; test circuits for safety and continuity.
• Follow safety rules and participate in on-site planning and supervision.
