Job summary

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. in Winchester, VA, seeks a Groundman to support our electrical construction teams. You will perform hand digging, prepare trenches, and assist with installing products in ditches, under supervision.

As you train, you may operate equipment and work toward leading a crew, with opportunities for skilled development and a structured benefits package, including insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use hand tools (shovels, rakes, etc.)
• Willing to travel when necessary
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a Class A CDL

Responsibilities

• Perform hand digging to various depths and in areas with limited access; handle and install products in ditches including direct bury wire and steel pipes.
• Retrieve tools and assist on jobs; learn to operate equipment when permitted.
• Train to lead a crew as you gain experience and responsibilities.
